Sutton Cruse 2.6 Challenge

8 May Weekend

Deprived of the opportunity to run the London Marathon (it’s been cancelled), aware that many people will be needing the support of Cruse (the bereavement helpline), and conscious that Cruse was first established to support war widows, Yvette and I are responding to Cruse’s 2.6 appeal by walking past 26 churches in Sutton and Cheam on VE Day Weekend.  We will do it all within the current restrictions on mobility.

Margaret Reith will endure silence for 26 hours and Briony Thomas is going to walk for at least 26 minutes on 26 days.  We are all seeking sponsors.

Can you spare 26 pence, £2.60 or £26 (or even half a crown) to support Sutton Cruse?  Every little helps.

You can make online payments to Barclays Bank, Account Name: Cruse Bereavement Care, Sort Code 20-06-13, Account No: 20292087, referencing it as ‘Sutton’ or send a cheque payable to ‘Cruse Bereavement Care (Sutton)’ to the treasurer, Michael Blackburn, 49 Park Hill, Carshalton SM5 3SD.
