Worship at Trinity is traditional but the church is
big enough to cope with the occasional experiment.
As examples of less common services which have been
found very valuable by many people are services led
by the Junior Church, the use of a Mozart Latin Mass
during Communion and a Taizé evening service. However,
it is the very fact that worship is usually along traditional
Non-Conformist lines that attracts many visitors and
keeps others loyal.
Communion Services are celebrated on the first Sunday
of each month alternately according to the rites of
the Methodist and United Reformed Churches so we receive
the bread and wine both at the Communion rail and in
the pews.
Trinity is in Local Ecumenical Partnership with St
Nicholas Church and Sutton Baptist Church. The three
churches are within 100 metres of each other.
A united evening service is held at one or other of
the churches at 6:30 pm every Sunday.

CRÈCHE
For babies and toddlers approximately 0 to 3
years. Mothers can leave their young children in the
crèche to play among their friends while their
parents share in the service in church.
JUNIOR
CHURCH
The children and young people of Trinity (over sixty
of them) are a valued part of the church family.
On most Sundays they are present at the start of morning
worship before moving into their departments but join
the church family later in the service to celebrate
Communion once a month.
Sundaymorning sessions in
Junior Church uses
"Roots" throughout the classes as its
source of religious guidance. Activities include
Bible work, drama, games, music, art and craft and the
high level of discussion amongst the teenagers on Christian
belief and practice would surprise many of the adults.
The Junior Church plans and leads
the Anniversary Service in the summer and a
Christmas Service. The congregation have been
moved and inspired by these acts of worship
which have involved many styles of music, serious
drama, comic sketches and dance.
New children are very
welcome to join the members of Junior Church.
We are sure they will enjoy their time together.

MUSIC
Music
plays an important part in worship and we are fortunate
to have a fine rebuilt pipe organ and a talented Director
of Music. The Choir sings an anthem most weeks, is often
asked to sing at weddings, and larger choral works are
performed at Christmas and Easter.
A wide range of music is sung from the 16th - 20th
century repertoire and the choir has joined the Junior
Church musicians to sing for services led by the children.
The high standard of music at Trinity is frequently
commented on.
To all aspiring SINGERS
Can you sing in tune?
Can you read music?
Can you attend choir practice regularly?
(on Thursdays at 8 pm and Sundays at 10 am)
If you can do all of these, then the choir needs
you!
